Bitcoin Prices Down Slightly, Bitcoin Cash Up In 24-Hour Trading

Bitcoin is experiencing a price surge pull-back today after touching an all-time high on Wednesday. Prices over the last 24 hours saw a high of $7,700 on at least one exchange, down from the $7,900 level for single coins.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin Cash continued its recent upward trend, now sitting at $628 per single coin.

The highest price seen was $7,758.32 on the LakeBTC exchange at 1:06 pm yesterday. LakeBTC saw $78,794,600 of bitcoin change hands.

The lowest price seen was $6,804.05 on Bittrex’s exchange at 1:48 pm yesterday. Bittrex’s 24 hour volume was $100,082,000.

The average price on the surveyed exchanges, as weighed by volume, was $7,283.42.

Volatility was a bit above average, with the BlockTribune Volatility Index coming in at 54.7. A higher number indicates greater price volatility with 50 describing an average day.

These statistics were consolidated from 7 different exchanges. It includes only BTC/USD trades and only on those exchanges that had at least 1% of the total volume of BTC/USD trades during the measurement period.
