Blockchain And AI Startup Core Scientific Acquires Stax Digital

Blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) startup Core Scientific has acquired blockchain mining company Stax Digital for an undisclosed amount.

Core Scientific provides custom hosting solutions at scale and is pioneering new innovations and best practices in the AI and blockchain landscape. The company’s platform is trusted by large-scale partners around the world to deliver reliable solutions that quickly adapt to dynamic market conditions.

Stax Digital is a specialist blockchain mining company with extensive product development experience and a strong track record of developing enterprise mining solutions for GPUs. The firm created the most widely used GPU mining program, Honeyminer, that operates on more than 1,400 different makes and models of GPUs.

According to Core Scientific, the acquisition will allow them to expand its team, adding talented, long-time blockchain experts with extensive experience in systems, software and application development. The deal also provides Core Scientific with “cutting edge IP that will be utilized in its industry leading management and monitoring solution, Minder and its custom operating system, MinderOS.”
