Blockchain app store Aptoide has announced that version of its Android app store is now available for download.

Aptoide, an alternative to Google’s Play Store powered by blockchain-based apps distribution protocol AppCoins, is one of the best places from where you can go download games and applications for free on your Windows PC, laptop and other devices. The store offers millions of apps, many of which are not available on Google’s app store. It also allows developers to advertise their apps to the users. From every advertising investment inside the Aptoide app store, 85% goes to the user.

According to the company, Aptoide comes with some minor improvements in stability and performance, as well as several bug fixes to enhance user experience with the app. To install the latest version of the app, users will to have to download the APK from its official site, or from mirror sites as Google Play Store doesn’t allow its presence due to a non-compete clause.

In October 2018, a Portuguese court ruled against Google in a landmark case, ordering the tech giant to stop removing the Aptoide app from users’ mobile phones without their knowledge. At the time, Aptoide’s lawyer Carlos Nestal said it was the first case of an EU national court enforcing separation of the Android operating system and services that run on it, to allow competitors like Aptoide to compete with Google apps.
