Blockchain Network Avalanche Integrates With Torus To Enable Seamless Building Of DeFi App

Avalanche, the highly-scalable, open-source platform for launching decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, has integrated with DirectAuth, Torus Labs‘ identity solution, to provide users with one-click Google logins to the Avalanche wallet.

Avalanche (previously AVA) has recently gone through a brand consolidation and the closing of its private token sale follows the successful launch of its Denali Testnet, which had over 1,000 full block producing nodes actively staking and participating in the consensus protocol.

DirectAuth is non-custodial key management solution enabling one-click logins to decentralized apps (dapps). DirectAuth allows participating apps and dapps to assign, store and generate private keys on the Torus network. Once integrated, applications can develop their own UX, employing unique user interfaces and login systems via the firm’s software development kit. The goal of the solution is to negate the restrictive nature of blockchain applications.

Avalanche said that the DirectAuth integration, which is now live on Avalanche’s official wallet, enables users to create their own blockchain wallet in a single step with their existing Google accounts. Developers building on top of Avalanche gain access to the seamless onboarding functionality, including a simple and secure authentication process and the security features inherent to OAuth accounts. Users can apply two-factor authentication (2FA) security to their accounts, and have an additional layer of recoverability for their private keys.
