Coinbase expands to Australia

Coinbase has announced the expansion of its services to Australia.

“We’re focused on creating an open financial system for the world, allowing people to easily buy and sell digital currencies anywhere in the world. Along with this launch in Australia, we are also making the ETH/BTC trading pair available on our professional trading platform GDAX to customers in Australia,” said Coinbase.

Coinbase product manager Ankur Nandwani said that the company was keen to start with extending its buying service to Australia as a means to increase the size of its network, but that it hopes to add a sell function at a later date.

Coinbase is a San-Francisco based bitcoin wallet and exchange platform.
