Crypto Exchange Huobi Authorizes HBUS To Use Its Name In The US

Cryptocurrency exchange Huobi has authorized HBUS, its US-based strategic partner, to use the Huobi name in the United States.

Launched in 2018, HBUS, a FinCEN-registered Money Service Business (MSB), operates a crypto trading marketplace that offers over 20 trading pairs.

In a press release, HBUS said that its crypto trading marketplace will now use the Huobi name to support Huobi Group’s ongoing plans for global expansion. HBUS will reportedly continue to operate the platform after its rebranding.

“From a branding perspective, it simply makes sense to ensure that the Huobi name is present in the United States,” said Huobi Group Founder and CEO Leon Li. “This transition will allow Huobi to extend its brand presence around the globe.”

As part of the transition, HBUS will migrate its trading platform to huobi.com, which will be open to US users. Huobi Global, Huobi Group’s flagship global cryptocurrency exchange, will continue to serve the global market under its own name at hbg.com. Huobi Global users who go to huobi.com will be redirected to the correct site, where they can trade as usual.

Leveraging our exclusive partnership with Huobi Group in this way will allow us to grow the Huobi brand together.”

Established in 2013 in China, Huobi provides safe, secure, and convenient cryptocurrency trading and asset management services to millions of users. In 2017, the company opened trading offices and operation centers in Singapore, the United States, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and many other countries after China banned bitcoin exchanges and initial coin offerings (ICO) in the country.
