John McAfee, a cybersecurity expert and cryptocurrency enthusiast, has announced the launch of his new cryptocurrency trading platform.

Called McAfee Magic, the platform enables both manual and automated trading, across multiple cryptocurrency exchanges, all at the same time and from the comfort of a single user interface. The platform provides traders with a ‘standard set’ of advanced trading features, such as Auto Buy, Auto Sell, Trailing Buy, Trailing Sell, Stop Loss, Complete Auto Trade etc. It also provides shadow trader functionality that enables novice traders to ‘shadow’ professional’s – automatically.

The trading platform, which is powered by an ERC20 token called Arbitrage (ARB), does not hold any cryptocurrencies for its users as the custody services are provided by the eight crypto exchanges currently accessible via Magic. According to the official website, McAfee Magic is operational in all jurisdictions.

Regarding security, the platform said it is using Amazon Web Service (AWS) servers which they can “scale on demand” and protects from distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. McAfee confirmed in a tweet that the platform suffered a DDoS attack before the launch.

“McAfeeMagic.com still under attack. New I.P. address in Texas,” McAfee said. “The more this goes on, the closer we get. Amazon AWS servers are “learning” the attack and will be up shortly. Catch up on work, make out with your partner or “flash” a random stranger and video while you wait.”

In his latest tweet, however, McAfee said the platform is up and running at almost 100% functionality.

The news about the McAfee Magic launch came after McAfee announced the launch of the McAfee Freedom Coin, a cryptocurrency “with zero cash-in value, yet accepted universally.”
