Decentralized payment network OmiseGo has announced that its OMG token has been listed on Gibraltar Blockchain Exchange’s Digital Asset Exchange (GBX-DAX).

OmiseGO provides an open payment platform and decentralized exchange issued on ethereum. The OmiseGO blockchain is a fully on-chain and massively-scalable decentralized exchange, liquidity provider mechanism, clearinghouse messaging network, and an asset-backed blockchain gateway. The OMG token, an ERC-20 coin, is both a staking token and the native currency for transaction payments on the OMG network.

OMG is now available on GBX-DAX in the following pairs: OMG/USD, OMG/ETH and OMG/BTC. GBX said that they added OMG to help accelerate the growth of a platform building a payment gateway that facilitates transparent, peer-to-peer transactions in real-time.

“The OmiseGO team promote the values of cross-chain interoperability, scalability, and security within the global blockchain ecosystem,” said Nick Cowan, CEO of the GSX Group. “As the seventh token to be listed on the GBX-DAX since the turn of the year, the addition of the OMG token represents the continuation of the strong upward trajectory we are experiencing.”
