IBM Taps Gabi Zodik To Lead Global Blockchain Research Strategy

Tech giant IBM has appointed Gabi Zodik to lead the company’s blockchain research strategy.

Zodik, who has been working at IBM’s offices in Haifa for more than two decades, previously served as the Director, CTO and Head of Development for IBM’s artificial intelligence-based question-answering computer Watson Assistant Solutions, as well as the Department Group Manager of the IoT and Cloud Technologies department at IBM Research.

Zodik has an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Technion, and an MBA from the University of Haifa. He is a frequent speaker on the challenges and opportunities in the future of AI and IoT systems.

In his new position, Zodik will lead IBM’s global research activities in blockchain from the company’s Haifa offices and will continue to lead the IoT platform worldwide strategy.
