Initial Coin Offerings Surge In First Half of 2018 – Research Reportbr>
Initial coin offerings have attracted $12 billion in investments during the first half of this year, according to a report from Autonomous Research LLP.
Led by ICOs from blockchain project EOS and messaging service Telegraph, the surge is already higher than the $7 billion total for all of 2017. It’s also more than 50 percent higher than 2016’s tally.
That’s the good news. The bad news is more than half of these projects are destined to fail, with their tokens or coins worthless by this time next year.
