New York-based bitcoin exchange Gemini expands to Canada

Gemini announced it is expanding its operations in Canada.

“We are thrilled to announce the expansion of Gemini services to the Great White North! This is just the beginning of Gemini’s international expansion and our tireless pursuit of building a world-class digital asset exchange with global reach,” said Gemini.

For the time being Canadian users will only be able to trade their coins, as opposed to buying them. Future updates will enable the purchasing of Bitcoins or Ether for US dollars.

Gemini is a New York-based bitcoin exchange founded by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss.
