The Request Network Foundation has teamed with PwC France to shape and develop the future of professional services using blockchain technology.

The Request Network Foundation promotes the adoption of blockchain by providing a framework which allows everyone to develop their own financial solutions based on the Request Network technology. It establishes a standard for blockchain transactions, shaping the future of payments (invoices, loans, payments, salary, donations) and their compliance for accounting, tax, and audit integration.

PwC is one of the “Big Four” professional services networks, with more than 236,000 people in 158 countries belonging to its network. PwC develops blockchain solutions for its clients: identification and analysis of strategic potential, target design, blockchain implementation and security, knowledge and skills development.

The partnership focus is on offering solutions to clients in terms of on-boarding blockchain into established business practices. They will work with businesses based in French-speaking Africa.

Marie Line Ricard, Partner and Blockchain Lab Leader of PwC France, said that they are “taking a chance to experience new opportunities, new technology, new type of management, new mindset of living together, share and collaborate: this is exactly what blockchain promises to us.”

The PwC France Blockchain Lab has brought together a multidisciplinary team of nearly 25 experts in its Paris office. The lab now combines teams specialized in cybersecurity and big data, lawyers, auditors, consultants and specialists in data science, risk and quantitative finance.

Christophe Lassuyt, Co-Founder, Request Network Foundation, said that their partnership with the PwC France Blockchain Lab will create a bridge between the corporate and blockchain industries. “This partnership facilitates industries to innovate and adopt financial solutions using blockchain technology,” he said.

A thought leadership group, consisting of members from both PwC France and the Request Network Foundation, will bring blockchain expertise to clients.

Request Network Foundation recently launched a financial applications technology allowing anyone to easily request and send cryptocurrency payments for goods, services, or simply conduct money transfers between friends, family and businesses. It also announced a $30 million grant program to fund the development of products with their technology.
