Two Team for Blockchain Identity Hub
Blockchain interface company Riddle&Code and innogy Innovation Hub are developing a blockchain solution for giving objects a unique and immutable identity.
Named Twin of Things, the proof of concept (PoC) allows securing the ownership and provenance of everyday objects. Non-removable inlay NFC tags, provisioned with public keys and metadata uniquely related to an object, are now empowering products with unique digital identities on the blockchain.
The project used Riddle&Code’s hardware, which is part of the company’s ‘Built For Blockchain’ product line. The hardware is embedded into physical objects and turns them into active and secure blockchain nodes.
Riddle&Code also partnered with BigchainDB, a Berlin based start-up, in the PoC.
