Babb Hires Cryptography Specialist
br>Blockchain banking app BABB has appointed Dr. Anish Mohammed as the company’s chief technology officer and chief security officer.
Mohammed is a blockchain expert, cryptography specialist, and an advisor to Ripple. He has been working in the security and cryptography area for the past 15 years. He is also a published author and regular speaker at international conferences on AI, blockchain, and robotics. He has been an acting member of BABB’s advisory board since April, part of a lengthy string of advisory and consultancy roles over the past few years.
Mohammed will lead the launch of Babb’s blockchain-based bank account, targeting a launch in H2 2017. The BABB platform is based on a private permissioned ethereum blockchain implementation of a distributed ledger using smart contracts technology. It is a banking platform that is set to empower people, irrespective of income. Using biometrics to deliver secure UX, Babb utilizes big data analytics to optimize match-making and control risk.
